Looking In...x

Do you ever feel like an outsider looking in?
Like you don't fit into a situation..
And that nothing would change if you weren't there?
It's as if you're not really there.. you don't really fit in there..
With the people, and the conversations..
With the place and the time and the gathering..
Like you shouldn't be there.
You just sit there and ease drop on the conversations you should really be a part of..
But it doesn't feel quite right to..
I feel like I'm not part of this group..
Like I'm just a stranger listening in to this conversation..
I'm just butting into a life I'm not really a part of..
I love it so much.. the people.. the places..
But I don't really belong here..
I'm just looking in..

I Want Headphones x

I want headphones..
Massive pink headphones, that cover my ears completely..
I want to listen to my iPod, with no distractions..
Just lie down in a field.. and let the world turn..
I want to feel the ground beneath me, the grass on my skin..
The soft breeze, lightly swirling leaves..
I want the world to disappear, so all that's left.. is me.. and the music..
I want to watch the clouds roll by, and feel the sun on my face..
Close my eyes as listen to every note, every lyric..
I want to feel so relaxed.. that all my worries just melt away..
I want headphones..

Old photographs. They're there to remind us of the times in our lives when we were happy enough to care about remembering, and hopeful enough to want to be that happy again..
They freeze a moment in time.. just a split second of our lives.
And in that moment.. you don't just capture what's in photo.. but you capture all the moments which have led you there, the smiles and the tears.. the conversations and journeys.. the people and places.. the lives you've touched.. or have touched you..
All of that from a photo taken in a split second.. a collection of everything that's got you this far.. a photo of the hopes and dreams that have made you who you are, who you were, and who you will be..

I live for times like this.. when all you can do is smile :) x
When you're with the people you love the most x
Just having a great time x
Dancing and singing your heart out x
You're only young once..
Enjoy the moments that make you smile, make your heart race.. the moments you hope you won't forget for a long time x
With friends and family you love so much, and know love you back x
Times like this don't come around too often.. so when they do..
Just smile for the camera..
& enjoy every.. single.. second :) x

People Don't Change x

Trying to change someone is like telling a leopard to change its spots.. they can't.

They may want to, and try.. but it's just not that easy x

You can paint over a picture, but that doesn't change the fact the picture's still there x

Sometimes we'd like to change.. something about ourselves.. our personality.. or how we look..
But you can't change who someone is, what makes them who they are.. x

You can change the clothes you wear, the things you say, the things you do, the make-up you choose.. but that does't change the person underneath..

That's not saying people should stop trying.. they just shouldn't forget who they are.. or try to be someone they're not

Everyone's unique.. don't forget that x
