I stand there in the dark..
And watch the world go by..

I watch my life go by..
And there I am.. Dragging my heels..
Holding myself back..
Slowing myself down..

When all I want to do is run.
Catch up with everything I've missed..
Everything I've avoided..
The things I've been afraid of.

I want to stop leaving drag marks in the sand..
And leave footprints instead.
I want to make an impact, for generation after generation to see..
And know that it was me who left it there.

I want to run.. run as fast as I can..
Catch up with the world..
And turn my drag marks into memories..
